× ‚ÄčThis full day workshop will be an exploration of colours, values and how they are affected when working on black surfaces. Participants will cover application techniques on two different surfaces. Working from a photo, the workshop will cover the step-by-step process of developing a moonlit landscape from thumbnail sketch to completed piece. All levels of experience are welcome. All materials provided, except pastels, so please bring a medium-soft set with a good colour range. Bring soft pastels and hard pastels and pastel pencils if you have them. Anyone who does not have pastels and does not wish to purchase them can borrow from my collection, but supplies are limited/shared. Please also bring landscape photos that were taken at night or late evening which feature predominantly dark values with highly contrasting highlights. Prints of the demo scene for anyone unable to find a dark-valued photo.
